EU AI Act risk classifier
Find out which tier your AI system falls into under the EU AI Act, and what you must do by when. It follows the Act's own order: scope first, then prohibited practices, then high risk, and transparency last.
Your answers are never sent anywhere. The whole calculation runs in your browser; nothing is stored on our servers.
This is an orientation tool, not legal advice. Tier depends on the concrete intended purpose and the technical characteristics of the system. Work with your legal counsel for a binding assessment.
Frequently asked
Frequently asked
Does this replace legal advice?
No. It is an orientation tool that follows the Act's own tiering. Tier depends on the concrete intended purpose and technical characteristics; a binding assessment is your legal counsel's work.
Are my answers stored?
No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser. No answer is sent to a server and nothing is recorded.
I have several systems. What should I do?
Run each one separately. The tier is determined per system; one organisation can hold minimal-risk and high-risk systems side by side.
The result says high risk. How long does it take?
The documentation work itself is measured in months; the real bottleneck is notified-body and assessor availability. Starting early changes the cost more than it changes the calendar.
